"Your dreams...only an Arms~Length away"
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. What is included in the cost of my puppet?
A. Each distinctive Arms~Length puppet is constructed of a handcrafted foam base covered with a quality fleece "skin". A standard feature of each studio quality puppet is the "Handhugger" mouthplate for maximum performance, comfort, and mouth manipulation. A custom sleeve lines the interior of the body for protection of the puppet and optimal comfort for the puppeteer. For superior puppet arm manipulation, we have included, as a standard feature, our fully patented P.A.W.S (Puppet Activation Wrist System) product. P.A.W.S unique design allows the puppeteer to manipulate the puppet arms in a way that simulates a more natural “range of motion”. A $25 Value.
Q. How do I care for my puppet?
A. There are basic puppet care and handling methods that will keep your Arms~Length puppet in excellent condition for years to come.
-Before handling your puppet, wash and dry your hands.
-Do not lay your puppet down on any surface that could be dirty. Place your puppet on a Puppet stand and place a clean, dry, light proof cover over the puppet.
-Store your puppet in a container free from the effects of water, dust, humidity and sunlight. Sunlight can fade the intensity of the color of your puppet.
-Always handle your puppet with care and respect. They are durable, but they are not intended to be treated like children's toys.
-For puppets with the fully patented P.A.W.S. inserts and rods, detach the rods from the wrist of the puppet after use and before storing the puppet. Leaving them attached during storage could cause damage to the wrist insert. Keep rods away from children unless they are under the close, direct supervision of an adult. Rods should never be used for anything other than puppet arm manipulation.
Q. Can I use my puppet in video and live productions? And if so do I need to get permission?
